If anything happens when travelling on 407 ETR you should know help is on the way. Our free Roadside Assistance Patrol operates seven days a week, 24-hours a day and will provide a boost, tire change, free gallon of gas, or call a tow truck to get you on your way.
Every year, we provide roadside assistance to over 2,000 customers.
Here are some other ways our patrol makes safety the top priority:
- protection by parking behind the vehicle with flashing orange caution lights
- assistance changing a flat tire or providing free gas, windshield washer fluid, etc.
- quick removal of the vehicle to reduce "rubber-necking", resulting in less congestion.

Roadside maintenance
We know how much you value a safe highway. As do we. So our crews work 24-hours a day to ensure 407 ETR is one of the cleanest, safest highways in the world.
In fact, we take safety so seriously we exceed the high provincial standards regarding safe highway operations.
As for maintenance, although the highway is 108 kilometres in length from end to end, there is a total of 917 kilometres of lanes to plow, sweep, repaint and inspect on a regular basis. In addition, our crews:
- replace damaged signage and railings
- remove road debris
- direct traffic flow at accident scenes
- cut the grass
- pick-up garbage
- and much more.
Our ongoing roadside maintenance makes 407 ETR an attractive and safe highway for hundreds-of-thousands of motorists every day.
