  Mounting your transponder

Watch the "Mounting a Transponder" video. (Quicktime or Windows Media format).

How do you affix it to a light vehicle?

It’s easy to affix your transponder and requires no tools at all.

Inside the vehicle, the transponder is to be mounted in the centre of the windshield behind the rear-view mirror, 5–10 cm from the top of your windshield. If the front windshield is divided in the centre by a vertical metal strip, mount the transponder at least 5 cm to the right of the strip.

Once the final mounting position has been selected, make sure the surface of the windshield is absolutely clean and dry (above 68°F/20°C).

To mount the transponder, simply remove the thin backing on the fastener and firmly press it into position.
