Cheryl's Story

We want to spread the word to 407 ETR users about the ways that 407 ETR can make all our lives a little easier. We will give you 500 free kilometres if we use your story. Our first installment comes from Cheryl.

Cheryl uses 407 ETR approximately five times a week, typically entering at Leslie Street and takes it across to Highway 427. She feels it saves her half an hour every trip, is well lit and she enjoys how well traffic flows. But never did she appreciate the time 407 ETR saves her than when she was expecting her son, Lucas.

“It was about 1 a.m. on August 14, 2005. I was sent home from a local hospital and told I was not in labour with my first child. However, at 3 a.m. I was clearly in labour and needed to get to Burlington (Joseph Brant Memorial) as soon as possible. It was raining and without hesitation my husband immediately got on 407 ETR. It was a very smooth and very quick ride all the way to the end at Brant Street, and I arrived safe and sound without worrying about traffic on any other highway!"
