My vehicle was stolen. How do I disable my transponder-equipped vehicle and prevent charges that aren’t mine?
Call us at 1-888-407-0407 and we will request for the latest information from Ministry of Transportation on the lost or stolen plate to reclassify your licence plate as 'lost' or 'stolen' to ensure that you do not receive charges that are not yours. If you have received toll charges for a stolen vehicle/plate prior to informing 407 ETR, you will be required to provide one of the following in order to have these charges reviewed:
- Copy of the police report - showing the date, vehicle and plate that was lost or stolen
- Copy of an MTO declaration report - showing the date, vehicle and plate was lost or stolen
- Copy of the insurance report - showing the date, vehicle and plate was lost or stolen
