Kristian Kataila
Chief Information Officer
Kristian Kataila joined 407 ETR in July 2022 as the Chief Information Officer. Mr. Kataila has over 20 years of experience in IT, including 16 years in operations and infrastructure. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Information Technology for four years at Pethealth Inc. (a Fairfax company) where he created an IT Roadmap with business-focused outcomes. In this role, he was responsible for delivery teams and supported the organization’s shift to agile, focusing and aligning the IT organization with changing corporate strategies. His key accomplishments at Pethealth include an IT restructuring to support the organization’s growth with digital transformation which enabled data-based decisions. Mr. Katalia’s experience also includes 8 years as Director of Global IT Infrastructure and Operations at IKO Industries (global shingle manufacturer), 3 years as IT Operations Manager at Wind Mobile and 3 years as IT Operations Manager at Canada Pension Plan Investment Board.
As Chief Information Officer for 407 ETR, Mr. Kataila is responsible for the IT organization and supporting 407 ETR’s success by developing effective, long-term partnerships in collaboration with the Senior Management Team. His responsibilities also include change management, oversight of IT projects, business priorities and technical transformation, and modernization of 407 ETR business systems.
