Greg MacKenzie

Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary

Greg MacKenzie is 407 ETR's Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary. He joined 407 ETR in February 2009 as Deputy General Counsel and has since taken on increasing responsibilities. He was appointed as General Counsel in October 2010, Corporate Secretary in July 2016, and Chief Legal Officer in January 2020.

Called to the Ontario Bar in 2000, Greg practised in the areas of commercial, corporate and securities litigation at one of Canada's premier law firms. He later joined the Ontario Securities Commission where he investigated and prosecuted securities law offences before returning to private practice and joining 407 ETR.

Greg has an Honours Bachelors of Arts from the University of Western Ontario as well as a law degree (LL.B.) and a Masters in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from McGill University.

Greg is a former faculty member for The Directors College at the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University and the Osgoode Hall Intense Trial Advocacy Program at York University.

From 2007 to 2017, Greg served on the Board of Directors for the Toronto East General (Michael Garron) Hospital Foundation, as an Audit & Finance Committee member and the Chair of the Corporate Governance Committee.  He is a graduate of the Directors Education Program at the Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto and has held the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D) designation since 2015.
