Past Construction Projects

407 ETR moves more than 500,000 people each workday. 407 ETR works hard to make sure that drivers keep moving by investing more than $1.6 billion to extend and expand the highway and improve services offered. Since 1999, many construction projects have been planned and completed. Over 240 km of new lanes have been added in the last ten years, including 21 km of new lanes in 2017. Other types of construction on the road include adding interchanges in the growing region, widening lanes and structures and replacing and maintaining signage. 407 ETR maintains and replaces road surfaces and other highway infrastructure on a regular basis.
