Supporting customers and our communities during COVID-19
$4 million donation to United Way's network of agencies in Durham, Halton, Hamilton, Peel, Toronto and York:
We are proud to be United Way's first corporate partner in Canada to make a multi-year commitment to help support both, the immediate needs of communities and the longer-term recovery of the people living in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area from COVID-19. This 3-year partnership will help in 4 areas: food supply, isolated seniors, income/employment security and mental health. Read the news release for more details.
$1.2 million to GTA hospitals:
We're forever grateful for the work that all hospital workers and first responders are doing to fight COVID-19. We are making a $1.2 million donation to hospitals in the GTHA. This commitment will send a $50,000 donation to 24 hospitals along the highway corridor to help them source much-needed PPE and medical equipment to help continue to battle COVID-19. This donation for COVID-19 relief is in addition to our annual donations to 19 hospitals across the GTHA.
Helping hospital staff:
As an act of our appreciation for hospital staff who continue to travel to-and-from work, we made an in-kind donation of over $300,000 in free 407 ETR travel for hospital staff in 24 hospitals across the GTHA.
Suspension of seasonal toll rate changes:
Seasonal toll rate changes announced on December 31, 2019 have been suspended. The seasonal change, which was scheduled for May 1, is suspended and current per km rates will continue.
407 ETR COVID-19 Repayment Assistance Program:
We've formed a new financial assistance program to help qualifying customers and businesses who have been impacted from COVID-19. Visit the COVID-19 Repayment Assistance Program page for more details and to download an application.
Auto-extension for ETR Rewards members:
The next ETR Rewards phase begins August 1. All customers who are currently in ETR Rewards will be automatically enrolled in the same tier for the next phase (August 1, 2020 to January 31, 2021), regardless of the amount travelled on 407 ETR during the qualification period. Should customers qualify for a higher tier, they will earn the free kilometres and gas savings associated with the higher tier.
