Focus on the road ahead of you.

Statistics show that drivers who text behind the wheel are 23 times more likely to crash their vehicle, and drivers who talk on their phone are 4-5 times more likely to be involved in a collision.

Distracted driving is one of the most common causes of vehicle collisions in Ontario, but it's also one of the most avoidable. That's why CAA South Central Ontario, the Ministry of Transportation, the Ontario Provincial Police, 407 ETR and other Traffic Safety Coalition partners launched “MISSING”, a four week long distracted driving campaign that aims to encourage safe driving habits in order to help reduce collisions and fatalities on our roads.

As part of the campaign, the Traffic Safety Coalition is urging drivers to make a promise to family and friends to end distracted driving and focus on the road. Visit to make the promise and for tips to reduce distracted driving behaviours.
