The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and 407 ETR are committed to promoting driver safety. Here are some important tips to remember each and every time you get behind the wheel.
Always check your blind spot. Be sure to check your mirrors every five seconds and be mindful of motorcyclists.
Drive the speed limit. Obey the maximum speed limit posted on signs along our roads and highways, while also driving at a speed that will let you stop safely.
Distracted driving. Do not use any handheld communications and entertainment devices while driving. If you need to make a phone call, safely move your vehicle off the roadway.
Drinking and driving. Make a wise choice before you get behind the wheel. Don't drink and drive.
Remember, always wear your seatbelt. Seatbelts save lives.
