Vice President, Operations & Infrastructure
Tony Angelo was appointed Vice President, Operations & Infrastructure in November 2025. Mr. Angelo has been a key member of 407 ETR for nearly 20 years, most recently serving as Senior Director, Operations for the past two years and as Director of Bridges for almost 15 years prior to that. He brings over 30 years of experience in the structural design, inspection and rehabilitation of transportation structures, including highway structures, vehicular and railway grade separations and overhead sign structures.
In his leadership roles, Mr. Angelo has advanced operational excellence and strengthened infrastructure capabilities through innovative projects and strategic partnerships. Notable initiatives include a research and laboratory testing project with Queen’s University on spray-on structural liner systems for culvert rehabilitation, and a collaboration with McMaster University and Associated Engineering on carbon fibre bridge bearings. He also spearheaded a partnership with Mohawk College’s Unmanned and Remote Sensing Innovation Centre to integrate drone technology into inspections of tolling gantries, overhead sign support structures and bridges—enhancing worker safety and efficiency since 2022.
Mr. Angelo is a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario and has served as Course Director for the Ontario Good Roads Association for the past 13 years.
